Concluding thoughts

This project has been an enlightening and emotional process for me; it has shown me the extent of an issue of invisibility and underrepresentation that is far more severe than I had realized and it has brought me closer to my family history and to my own identity. To learn how persistent and disproportionate Filipino Americans' underrepresentation is was both surprising and disheartening for me, but I believe progress will be made if we continue to tell, preserve, and share stories.
